Gariban Ali, 21, called ‘Bagie’, who was wanted for the murder of Patrick Boodie, which occurred on April 15, 2015, at Levi Dam, New Amsterdam, Berbice was arrested over the weekend at Haslington, East Coast Demerara.
At the time of his arrest, he had 7.7kg of cannabis for the purpose of trafficking. Crime Chief Wendell Blanhum said the suspect is being grilled in connection with the two offences.
He is expected to be charged with murder, as well as possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking.
