A 28-year-old man from Buxton, East Coast Demerara (ECD) who police say was wanted for questioning in relation to several armed robberies and who was charged before the Court with rape but has since been evading the police after receiving bail, was on Tuesday night apprehended.
He was caught by ranks of a police patrol, at Sideline Dam, Annandale, ECD, who reportedly found 29 grams of cannabis in his possession at the time of his arrest.
The 28-year-old who, police say, ‘has been evading justice for some time’ is expected to appear in Court shortly with multiple charges.
