Police have issued wanted bulletins for the two Trinidadians implicated in the reportedly fake kidnapping plot of fellow Trinidadian Sawak Maraj in Guyana.
Maraj was today (Tuesday) remanded to prison after he was charged for allegedly conspiring with persons to obtain $US700,000 as ransom for his kidnapping.
According to the Police in a release, Anil Antonio Mahabir and Vejhy Ramdass are wanted for questioning in relation to Conspiracy to Commit a Felony which occurred on 2017-10-27 at the Madewini Resort, Timehri, East Bank Demerara.
Persons with information that may lead to the arrest of Anil Antonio Mahabir and Vejhy Ramdass are asked to contact the police on telephone numbers 225-6411, 226-1389, 227-2128, 226-7065, 225-2227, 225-0575, 911 or the nearest police station.
