[www.inewsguyana.com] – Two men are now nursing gunshot wounds about their bodies after a shooting at Turning Point, Tucville on Tuesday July 14.

A police report confirmed that at approximately 20: 55 hrs, 25 – year – old Rayon Clementson, of Mocha, East Bank Demerara was on the bridge at Turning Point, when a man rode up on a motor cycle and discharged several rounds in his direction and escaped.

Clementson was shot to his right leg, while Ayodella Solomon, 32 years, also of Tucville, who was in the vicinity was hit to his right shoulder.

They are receiving medical attention at a hospital. Meanwhile, eyewitnesses told iNews last evening that Clementson was being chased by two gunmen on foot, who kept shooting in his direction. They reported that the injured man may have also been armed but did not get a chance to use his weapon in retaliation.

According to eyewitnesses, Clementson sought refuge under a concrete bridge in the community and his attackers escaped after shooting at it, thinking he was dead.

However, residents saw movements in the trench under the bridge and realised the man was still alive but wounded.
