The police are investigating the shooting of Leslie Wood, who was shot multiple times about his body this morning, Friday July 5.
In a press release, the police stated that Wood of Seaforth Street, Campbellville, Georgetown, was standing on the roadway at Cummings and Sixth Streets, Alberttown, when shots were discharged at him from a passing motor vehicle.
He has since been admitted to the Georgetown Public Hospital, where he is battling for his life.
iNews reported earlier that that the shooting took place in Cummings Street, Alberttown just around 4am.
According to reports, the man had just dropped off a group of Brazilian dancers at the Cummings Street property when he got into a heated argument with them.
Reports indicate that shortly after , a car pulled up and the occupants opened fire on the man. No arrests have been made thus far.
