[www.inewsguyana.com] – Speaking with tears in his eyes, acting A Division Commander George Vyphius said that Guyana and the Police Force has lost a great man. Vyphius said that the late Derrick Josiah would have been a Commissioner of Police.
Speaking with reporters at the Woodlands Hospital, Vyphius said that they were having the annual Christmas Luncheon for ranks while Josiah was having a normal health check up following his accident in November.
Josiah reportedly died from a heart attack at 15:30 hrs on Friday, December 13 at the Woodlands Hospital.
At the moment, dozens of police officers and friends of the dead policeman have gathered at the hospital as they mourn the loss.
