[www.inewsguyana.com] – The nude body of a female of African descent was this evening [Wednesday, August 27] discovered at the Kitty foreshore, approximately 200 meters from the Celina Resort.
Investigators who arrived on the scene said that the body of the female appeared to be in its mid 30s and that there were no visible signs of violence.
iNews understands that the body was first spotted on the foreshore in the vicinity of the former Russian Embassy and was tossed amid the high winds and waves several feet away.
When the neatly dressed Crime Scene Investigators arrived, accompanied by woman Sergeants Webster and Simpson from the Kitty Police Station, the male police ranks did not make any attempt to retrieve the body before the waves took it further.
It took the brave Sergeant Webster to remove her service shoe and socks and entered the rough waters to grab hold of the body in order to prevent it from drifting further.
It was then that a CID Rank placed a rope around one of the dead woman’s hands to pull the body ashore.
The dead woman remains unidentified up to the time that this article was published. The body is at the Lyken Funeral Parlour.
