[www.inewsguyana.com] – The man who was shot several times in a drive by shooting at Little Diamond, East Bank Demerara has died at the Diamond Hospital. He was identified as Trevor Abrams.
iNews has been able to confirm that Abrams is an employee of the Guyana Geology and Mines Commission (GGMC). Preliminary information revealed that Abrams was driving along the Little Diamond Public Road when a man in another vehicle drove up alongside him and discharged several rounds at him which caused him to veer off the road and into a canal.
Public spirited persons quickly rushed to his assistance and pulled him from the canal but he was pronounced dead at the Diamond Hospital.
This is the third such incident to have occurred with the past week in the Police “A” Division. So far the police are still working on their investigation involving the owner of a mechanic shop who was gunned down last week in front of his business place and the shooting of an ex-policeman on Regent Street.
Police investigators are working on the theory that businessman’s execution and the shooting of the ex-police man are related.
