Update: Female NIS Security Guard found dead

[www.inewsguyana.com] – The female security guard who was found dead at her workplace on Wednesday morning (December 18) has been identified as 53 – year – old Desiree Allenye Williams of Garnette Street, Kitty.

Williams was discovered motionless by one of her colleagues at the National Insurance Scheme (NIS) office on Bent and Camp Streets.

Relatives told iNews that the woman’s body bore no marks of violence and it is suspected that she died of natural causes.

iNews understands that Williams was rushed to the Georgetown Hospital sometime last week, complaining of a pain in her abdomen.

However, she was told by the doctors there that she was suffering from gas. In addition to that, relatives also told iNews that Williams suffered from hypertension. A post mortem is expected to be conducted soon.
