[www.inewsguyana.com] – Police have identified the dead Brazilian miner as 46 – year – old Danderlei Lienen who was killed on Wednesday night (November 20) at 111 Miles, Mahdia.
According to the Police, the Brazilian miner resided at Light Street, Georgetown and on the night of robbery, he was at his business place at Mahdia when he was confronted by three men who were armed with knives and demanded gold and cash.
According to the Police, during the armed robbery Kienen was fatally stabbed by the perpetrators, who took away an undisclosed sum of cash and a quantity of gold and escaped.
A suspect has been arrested and is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
