(www.inewsguyana.com) – A businessman, identified as Robert Marvin Wright took a gun, placed it in his mouth and ended his life on the seawall on Friday, October 25.
The incident occurred in the vicinity of Conversation Tree on the Rupert Craig Highway just as his best friend arrived at the scene.
iNews was informed that the man was allegedly experiencing some domestic issues when he decided to kill himself.
iNews understands that while on the seawall, the 71 – year – old man called his best friend and told him what he planned to do.
However, just as his best friend arrived, he placed the gun in his mouth and pulled the trigger.
Reports reaching this news agency stated that Wright, of Bel Air Gardens Georgetown only just a week ago sold one of his properties at Camp and Lamaha Streets. Police later stated that the man is a licensed firearm holder and that his .32 Taurus revolver with four rounds and one spent shell has been recovered at the scene.
He leaves to mourn his wife and children. Police investigators are on the scene.
