A 69-year-old unvaccinated woman from Region Ten (Upper Demerara-Berbice) has died as a result of the novel coronavirus.
This takes the country’s death toll to 1056.
Guyana also detected 94 new cases today, taking the total positives recorded to date to 40,154.
There are six persons in the ICU, 47 in institutional isolation, and 1,281 in home isolation.
Recoveries stand at 37,764.
