As law enforcement officials continue to swoop down on popular night spots in and around Georgetown, another unlicensed weapon was discovered, this time at Palm Court on Main Street.
According to Police, late Saturday, around 23:00h, ranks carried out a search at the popular Main Street establishment where an unlicensed .38 Special Revolver with four matching rounds was found on the person of a male patron.
INews understands that the man will soon make an appearance at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court.
It was only last week that four men and a woman were arrested in the wee hours of Friday morning at a popular night spot in West Ruimveldt, Georgetown for possession of arms and ammunition.
The five accused were found with two illegal firearms, several rounds of ammunition and a quantity of ganja.
