[www.inewsguyana.com] – Investigations are being conducted into a fatal accident that occurred at about 23:40h last night, Saturday October 25, on the Happy Acres Public Road, East Coast Demerara and which resulted in the death of a so far unidentified woman of Amerindian descent.
According to a police media release, investigations so far have revealed that the victim allegedly attempted to cross the roadway and was struck down by a motor vehicle. She was pronounced dead on arrival at the Georgetown Public Hospital.
The driver of the motor vehicle is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
