Two sex workers, on Friday, were placed on $25,000 bail each after they appeared before Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court charged for robbery.
Collis Abrams, 22, a sex worker of 91 Enmore, East Coast Demerara and David Bisson, 22, also a sex worker of Lot 651 Best Village, West Coast Demerara both stood before the court to answer to the charge which alleged that on Wednesday February 17, at King Street in Georgetown, they robbed Ray Anthony La Cruz of one radio valued $100,000, and $50,000 cash. They duo also used personal violence against the virtual complainant during the robbery.
As there was no objection to bail they were placed on $25,000 each and the matter was adjourned for March 7.
