[www.inewsguyana.com] – Two murder accused, Sylvester ‘Rambo’ Bristol and Orin Kevin Roberts were committed to stand a High Court trial at the next Demerara Assizes.
Bristol is on remand for the murder of the Soesdyke/Linden female taxi driver, Savitri Parma, while Roberts has been on remand for the past three years for the murder of 84-year-old Harold Rachpaul, the drug store owner of Robb Street.
For Bristol, it is alleged that between February 15 and 16 at Dakara Creek, Soesdyke, East Bank of Demerara he murdered Savitri Parma of Lot 4 Soesdyke Public Road.
Meanwhile, Roberts is a minibus conductor of ‘C’ Field Sophia and it is alleged that between August 18 – 19, 2011 at Robb Street Georgetown; he murdered 84-year-old Harold Rachpaul during the course of a robbery.
The Court heard that it t was through the use of the new fingerprinting technology that investigating ranks were able to pinpoint Roberts as the man who committed the murder.
Rachpaul, a well known pharmacy owner of Lot 75 Robb Street, Lacytown, was discovered murdered in his living quarters aback of his business place, by relatives who had gone to open the premises.
Police said the body of the victim was found in his home, with his hands tied and mouth gagged with a cloth. A Post Mortem examination revealed that the deceased died of suffocation.
