[www.inewguyana.com] – Police are investigating the murder of 41 – year – old Karamchan Jagasar, who died after he was stabbed by another man at Port Mourant, East Berbice Corentyne at approximately 01:10hrs on Monday, March 16.
According to a statement from the Guyana Police Force, Jagasar was involved in an argument with another man in a bar at Port Mourant, during which he was stabbed to his chest.
He was picked up and rushed to the Port Mourant Hospital where officials there pronounced him dead. Police say the suspect has been arrested and is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
Meanwhile, the body of a 64 – year – old man was discovered in a home at Yarrowkabra on the Linden/Soesdyke Highway on Sunday morning.
According to police, Gregory Hernandes, of Sandy Babb Street, Kitty, Georgetown was found in a house on a farm where he worked at with what is suspected to be stab wounds.
Four men have been arrested and are in police custody assisting with the investigations into the circumstances surrounding his death.
