[www.inewsguyana.com] – Two women are now dead and three others are hospitalized after they drank a poisoned SSS tonic on Sunday morning (May 04).
The dead women have been identified as Natasha George and Simone Price, both 36 – year – old of East Ruimveldt, Georgetown.
iNews (www.inewsguyana.com) understands that both women are neighbours and are friends. A male, who also drank the tonic, is in a critical condition at the Georgetown Public Hospital.
Two boys, a six – year – old and a nine – year – old are also hospitalized.
iNews (www.inewsguyana.com) was informed that the bottle of SSS tonic was dropped off to the house for one of the occupants to take to the United States. However, the person refused to take the tonic, since the same is being sold in the US.
As such, the tonic was left in the house, and all five persons drank it this morning, after which they collapsed.
