[www.inewsguyana.com] – The Police Office of Professional Responsibility (OPR) is conducting investigations into an allegation of corruption involving two police officers.
According to a police press release, two police ranks attached to the Kurupung Police Station arrested twelve (12) men on January 12, 2015, in relation to the possession of an unlicensed shotgun and nine (9) cartridges.
It is however alleged that they were subsequently involved in a corrupt transaction with a view to having the men released from police custody.
