[www.inewsguyana.com] – Two children were burnt to death in an early morning fire in a three-storey building located at Robb and King Streets, Georgetown today, Monday, November 17. The building housed a number of small businesses.
They children have been identified as Clarissa Rozario, 15 years, and Theresa Rozario, 11 years. iNews understands that the building is owned by former Minister of Home Affairs under the PNC Government, Jeffrey Thomas.
Reports indicate that Randolph Thomas, 63 years and the two children lived in the top flat; persons at the scene said he managed to save himself by jumping from the building.
He sustained burns about the body is a patient at the Georgetown Public Hospital.
It is not yet clear how the fire started.
