[www.inewsguyana.com] – Two men appeared before Chief Magistrate, Ann McLennan on December 16, charged with for break and enter and larceny.
Dwayne Hawker, 32, of 213 Third Street, Alexander Village and Dwayne Charles, 40, of 99 Laing Avenue, West Ruimveldt, pleaded not guilty to the offense, which alleged that between July 7 and July 8 at Georgetown, they broke and entered into Corner Kick Sports Bar and stole three television sets, a cash canister and $360,000, all to a total value of $1, 365,000, property of Curtis Wallace.
The Court heard that the men were captured on CCTV footage breaking into the bar and stealing the items. Upon their arrest, they reportedly admitted to the offence. They were remanded to prison and are scheduled to appear in Court Five before Magistrate Fabayo Azore on January 21, 2016.
