[www.inewsguyana.com] – Customs Anti-Narcotics Unit (CANU) Officers have arrested two persons and launched a man hunt for others in connection to a quantity of cocaine that was found among a shipment of fake awarras at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport (CJIA) this morning (March 27).
iNews understands that CANU ranks are still trying to ascertain the exact amount of cocaine that was discovered. The shipment was destined for Canada and is said to be the property of a 41 – year – old Mahaicony, East Coast Demerara Shipper.
The cocaine was reportedly fitted inside the seed of the fruit and mixed among other untainted ones.
An investigation is underway.
