[www.inewsguyana.com] – The back end of Trinidad and Tobago Red Force’s innings crumbled as Guyana gained a slight advantage on the first day of the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) Professional Cricket League fourth-round match at Queen’s Park Oval in Port of Spain.
After a strong batting start by the Red Force batsmen, the final session of the day’s play saw their final seven wickets collapsing for just 55 runs
Lendl Simmons was the top batsman with 59 runs while Devendra Bishoo took the bulk of wickets with figures of 4-49. Narsingh Deonarine also had figures of 3-25 to help oust the Red Force batsmen.
Meanwhile Guyana ended the day’s play on 27-1 with Rajendra Chandrika on 15 and Shemron Hetymer on four.
