[www.inewsguyana.com] – A Trans Guyana Caravan aircraft bearing registration number 8R-GHS went missing along with its Canadian Pilot, Blake Slater and the Cargo Loader on Saturday morning (January 18).
This was confirmed just after noon by Spokesman of Trans Guyana Kit Nacimento. He said it was a cargo flight headed to Imbamadai and Olive Creek.
Nacimento told iNews that the pilot was last in contact with another aircraft at about 10:50hrs when he reported that he was experiencing difficulties in flying.
He said the aircraft and team has been deemed missing though the area in which the aircraft is was located on Trans Guyana’s spot tracker.
Two aircraft have been deployed to join the search for the missing one. Meanwhile, the Civil Aviation Authority is said to have mounted it National Rescue Coordination Protocols and a rescue center has been set up at the Ogle International Airport.
