A top United Kingdom (UK) official will be visiting Guyana tomorrow to engage several stakeholders here on various important issues.
According to a release from the British High Commission in Georgetown, James Duddridge MP, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State in the UK’s Foreign & Commonwealth Office with specific responsibility for Caribbean relations, during his visit, will meet with President David Granger, Prime Minister Moses Nagamootoo and several stakeholders in the political sphere, private sector and NGO community.
This will be the first visit by a FCO Minister to Guyana since 2002. It is a further demonstration of the strong ties between Guyana and the UK, and of the continuing desire to ensure these go from strength to strength, the release said.
