[www.inewsguyana.com] – The Police Football Club and Tiger Bay football team yesterday drew 2-2 in the second of the triple header, however the Police are still ahead in the series 1-0 with one match remaining which will be played on Friday May 30.
Scoring first in yesterday’s match was Tiger Bay’s Ron Adams who scored in the 28th minute; the next goal was scored in the 38th minute by Police player Rawle Haynes.
As the score was 1-1 and in the 49th minutes Police player Rawle Haynes then scored again, in the 56th minute Tiger Bay’s Ron Adams scored and taking the match to 2-2.
Coach of the Police team Oniel Earl-Oniel said the Tiger Bay team had 70% of the game, adding that the Police team would have won if they didn’t miss the penalty shoot.
‘A’ Division Commander Clifton Hicken thanked both teams that participated in the match as he urged residents of Tiger Bay to come out and support the matches.
The last of the triple header will be played next Friday where the winner of the triple header will receive trophies and other prizes. The next match police will play is against Buxton on Wednesday.
