[www.inewsguyana.com] – Three vehicles were this morning (Saturday, December 21) badly burnt in a brazen arson attempt. According to technician, Prince Junior Forde, in whose yard the vehicles were parked, the three vehicles include a Toyota 212, a Mazda 3 and a Suzuki Sidekick.
In recounting the event, Junior or ‘Junior Tech’ as he is commonly known, told iNews that at about 2:30hrs, he heard a commotion in his 2nd Avenue Diamond House and decided to check on it.
Upon investigating, he found three fires, one on each car already looking to engulf the machines.
He said that quick action by himself, stemmed the further spreading of the fires and a rapid response by the fire tenders in the area did the remainder of the job.
Forde, who only owns the 212, said that the other vehicles belonged to various persons and they were being housed there as he was installing music systems in them.
Forde told iNews that what makes the story “fishy” is that there was a fourth vehicle in the yard – a Ramchands wrecker music bus, which was also in the yard at the time was untouched by the alleged arsonists.
He says he has no trouble with anyone in the area but is willing to cooperate to find the vagabonds that would have caused damage to his reputation and his property.
