[www.inewsguyana.com] – The Guyana Police Force recently charged three persons who were caught driving under the influence of alcohol. The men were placed before the court where they pleaded guilty and were made to pay a fine of $7,500 each.
Errol Persaud of Lot 46 Brickdam and Austin Place, Georgetown, was stopped and given the breathalyzer test in mid-February while driving his motor vehicle along Brickdam road. After he was found to be above the legal limit of alcohol consumption he was charged and placed before the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court where he pleaded guilty and was fined $7,500.00.
Meanwhile, Ricky Jayram of Lot 53 Grove, East Bank Demerara, was also found to be above the legal limit and was also charged and fined $7,500.
Ravendranauth Jodha of Lot 67 Mon Repos, East Coast Demerara was also caught driving under the influence, charged and fined $7,500.
