(www.inewsguyana.com) – The end to Guyana’s litter crisis is nowhere near. This much is very evident with the garbage heap which greet persons who come off the stelling at Georgetown, behind the Guyana Fire Service.
The garbage there has been piling up for the past week and the stench has become unbearable.
However, this has still not deterred persons from continuing to dump garbage in the area.
That particular area is being used by market vendors and the route 32 minibus park. It is the responsibility of the Georgetown Mayor and City Council to dispose of the garbage.
