* Warriors feel they were “home away from home”
Message from Chairman of the Guyana Amazon Warriors Dr Ranjisinghi ‘Bobby’ Ramroop
On behalf of the Management, general staff, coaching staff and members of the Guyana Amazon Warriors, I would like to thank the fans in the USA and further afield who came out to the Central Broward Regional Park in Lauderhill, Florida to witness all six games of the Hero T20 Tournament, but especially the two in which our Warriors played and won.
The Caribbean spirit and enthusiasm you brought and displayed so fervently made the Guyana Amazon Warriors feel they were “home away from home” and had the home field advantage. You proved you can take the Cricketing fans out of the Caribbean but you can’t take the cricket out of the fans! We have stressed that cricket is the glue that binds us as a Caribbean people, and this was so evident in Florida during the six games played there. You turned Florida into a part of the Caribbean!
Once again, we would like to thank you, the fans who have made the Florida leg of the Hero CPL such a resounding success, for being such an integral part of that success.
And don’t forget to come on down to St Kitts to cheer your Guyana Amazon Warriors all the way in 2016!!!
