[www.inewsguyana.com] – Fourteen – year – old Omar Mitchel of Half Mile, Linden drowned yesterday afternoon (Tuesday, September 23) in the Demerara river in the vicinity of the old saw mill in Linden.
According to reports, the teenager was out at the river side with friends when one of them allegedly pushed him in the river. The Harmony student’s body is yet to be recovered.
The search is expected to resume this morning. The boy’s family is devastated over the loss.
