A teenager was granted bail in the sum of $80,000 when he appeared before Magistrate Judy Latchman charged with the offence of assault causing actual bodily harm.
Nineteen – year – old Tyrone Escouse; a labourer of West Ruimveldt Georgetown pleaded not guilty to the charge. It is alleged that on September 4 at West Ruimveldt Georgetown, he assaulted Keyome Williams.
According to the prosecution’s case, on the day in question the accused and the virtual complainant had an altercation and as a result the accused pushed a bicycle towards the complainant, causing him to fall to the ground and sustaining injuries.
The prosecutor said the complainant received injuries to the leg and ribs. Based on the information presented in court, the Magistrate granted the accused bail and ordered that he return to court on September 20. [Royan Abrams]
