Two brothers were before the Chief Magistrate, Ann McLennan at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts on Monday morning charged with raping an 11-year-old girl.
The 18-year-old, Caozuyag Menug and his 15-year-old brother were not required to plead.
It is being alleged that they both engaged in the sexual penetration of a girl under the age of 16 between October 1-31, 2017 at Soesdyke, East Bank Demerara (EBD).
The Court heard that another teen, a 13-year-old boy is also expected to be charged with the said offence shortly.
The trio reportedly held down the girl and began to fondle her.
When the young woman resisted, they allegedly raped her.
The matter was subsequently reported and the teens were arrested.
The duo both received $70,000 bail and are expected to return to Court on July 27, 2018.
