There is no trace of 15 – year – old Lisa Jeboo since she ran away from home three weeks ago. The Jeboo family is pleading with the teenager to return home.
This is the second time this month that the teenager of Albouystown ran away from home.
Her mother, Farida Jeboo related to iNews that her daughter collected a letter from a male friend who normally visits a neighbour in Albouystown.
According to the mother, the letter was addressed to the missing teen, stating that the male friend was in love with her. After seeing this letter, the mother related that she dealt her some lashes and warned her against seeing the young man.
According to the distraught mother, she eventually sent the teen to stay with her grandmother on the West Bank of Demerara and this is where she made good her escape.
The mother explained that the first time her daughter ran away from home, occurred early one morning, when she packed a few pieces of clothing and went to the home of the same young man, who then took her to the welfare office.
Mrs. Jeboo said that she made a report to the Police Station but no action has been taken thus far.
The woman is pleading for the safe return of her teenage daughter.
