[www.inewsguyana.com] –Nineteen – year – old Dominique Reynolds and her one year old son have been reported missing, after they left Linden for Georgetown yesterday, Tuesday, December 16, never to be seen since.
The teen’s mother, Simone Reynolds told iNews during a telephone interview that her daughter came to the city to stay with her, but she was forced to return to Linden to submit her School Based Assessments (SBAs).
Dominique was expected to return to the City yesterday and according to information her mother received, she was spotted in the city in the vicinity of Demico House but never made her way home.
Reynolds explained that she last spoke to her daughter yesterday around 16:00hrs.
“I told her she should get out of the house and back to Georgetown. About 7 ‘o clock I hadn’t seen her so I called back my stepson’s phone and he told me she left home between 4 & 5:30, so from 7 ‘o clock to about 2 this morning I have been calling her phone.
“The number that we know she has and it has been ringing without an answer and then it stop ringing like if it was turned off.”
The mother explained that her stepson, who is attached to the Brickdam Police Station recalled seeing the teen mother in the vicinity of Demico house heading to the South Bus Park.
The mother is unaware of any friends that her daughter may have in the city as she noted that her daughter is unfamiliar with Georgetown. Reynolds does not believe that this disappearance by her daughter is voluntary, as she noted that there are problems within the family.
The young mother is slated to write her CSEC examinations in May/June 2015.
