Caboral Bailey of Vergenogen, East Bank Essequibo was on Thursday arraigned at the Wales Magistrate’s Court and handed a bail sum of $200,000 for the attempted murder of Keon Farley whom he allegedly tried to kill on New Year’s Day.
Bailey a 19-year-old vendor who plies his trade at the Parika Ferry Stelling was not allowed to plea as the charge was indictable.
The charge alleged that on January 1, 2018 at Vergenogen, with intent to commit murder, he unlawfully and maliciously wounded Farley.
Presiding Magistrate Annette Singh granted bail on conditions that he report to the Leonora Police Station twice per week. The matter was transferred to the Leonora Magistrate’s Court for March 6.
