[www.inewsguyana.com] – The top finishers of the West Demerara Football Association Banks (WDFA) Vita Malt Plus/Aqua Mist football tournament will be smiling heading into the New Year after receiving their winning cheques on Tuesday (December 30) at the Banks DIH headquarters, Thirst Park.
President of the WDFA, Nigel Garraway called the tournament a “massive success” while thanking Banks DIH as well as the Guyana Police Force (GPF) for their efforts.
“We must say thanks to Banks and all other stakeholders, not forgetting the Police Force who readily agreed to come on board since this tournament was held in honour of the late Assistant Commissioner Derrick Josiah,” Garraway stated.
Aqua Mist Brand Manager, Errol Nelson congratulated the teams and pledged the continued support of Banks DIH in future tournaments.
Meanwhile Vita Malt Plus Brand Manager, Clairmont McKenzie was delighted with the event.
“It was a very invigorative and energy filled tournament, it was something that a lot of people admired and that is what Vita Malt Plus is about,” McKenzie noted.
Slinzerz FC are the winners of the inaugural winners of the tournament while Dem Amstel finished second.
