[www.inewsguyana.com] – An overwhelming performance from team Dorado speed swim club saw them take the top spot in last weekend’s Inter Club Meet organized by the Guyana Amateur Swimming Association (GASA).
The team won the overall girls division with 214 points, distancing itself from Silver Shark and Dolphin Speed who were joined second with 73 points.
It was no different in the male category, Dorado managing 338 points ahead of Dolphin with 166, Silver Shark with 82 and Orca with 11.
The overall total put them at 620 points, twice as much as second place Dolphin who ended with 229, Silver Sharks who ended third with 155 and Orca, 78.
In the medal count, Dorado managed 73, 37 gold, 24 silver and 12 bronze while second placed Dolphin had 31 medals, 10 gold, 12 silver and 9 bronze.
Silver Sharks had 20 medals inclusive of 8 gold, 7 silver and 5 bronze.
