A taxi driver was today granted bail by Magistrate Judy Latchman today, after he was charged with the offenses of damage to property and simple larceny.
Thirty – two – year old Anthony Porter of West Ruimveldt Georgetown pleaded not guilty to both offences which he committed against Romain Henry.
It is alleged that on July 27 at Thomas Street Georgetown the man damaged one car mirror valued at $25,000, and on the same day, the accused also stole one car mirror valued at $50,000 property of Romain Henry.
Police Prosecutor Vishnu Hunt did not object to bail which was granted in the sum of $70,000 for the damage to property charge and $70,000 for the simple larceny charge. Porter will return to court on August 02. [Royan Abrams]
