(SportsMax)-The Jamaica Tallawahs will begin the hunt for a new head coach following the departure of Paul Nixon who has been named head coach of Leicestershire in English County Cricket.
Nixon was in charge of the Tallawahs in 2013 and 2016 when they won Hero CPL titles. The Tallawahs were eliminated in the playoffs in 2017.
Jay Madhu, the CEO of the Tallawahs, lauded the now-former coach, who replaced South African Micky Arthur after the 2015 season, for his second stint with the franchise.
“Coach Nixon has very much been an asset to the team. While we will miss him, we wish him much success,” Madhu said.
“We look forward to seeing bigger and better things in his career.”
He added that the search for a new coach will now begin.
“As far as the future, yes, we will actively be looking for his successor,” he told SportsMax.tv.
