[www.inewsguyana.com] – The Guyana Table Tennis Association (GTTA) is looking forward to starting 2014 on a positive note with the organizing of a league.
According to a release from the GTTA, they are looking to have a national league which starts off on January 29.The countrywide league is the associations way of both boosting the sport by encouraging new participants and by de-rusting their seasoned athletes for 2014.
Competition will be in a round robin format and will see competitors placed into three divisions.
Each team is allowed the maximum of two entrants in each division with each entrant having at least three members.
However, no one player will be allowed to play for two teams in one division or in separate divisions. Participants will have to pay an entrance fee of two thousand dollars per team.
