[www.inewsguyana.com] – The Police in ‘C’ Division are conducting investigations into an incident which developed in front of the premises of a popular businessman.
iNews has been reliably informed that sometime last week, the Sparendaam Police Station received a call from the residence of Roshan Khan, the owner of RK Security Service that a suspicious car was parked in front of the businessman’s premises.
A police patrol from the Sparendaam Police Station as well as another patrol was subsequently dispatched by the C Division Operations Room.
When the police arrived at the house in Atlantic Gardens, the vehicle with occupants were still present and upon seeing the police, sped off. The police gave chase after the vehicle and several shots were fired in the community before the car with its occupants were able to evade the police and made good their escape.
The entire incident has been kept under the wraps by the police in C Division for more than one week. Persons in the Atlantic Gardens area, who were alerted to the gunshots, have been seeking answers from the police on the entire ordeal since they were never officially approached and appraised.
When contacted, Crime Chief Leslie James confirmed that he was updated about a situation at the home of Roshan Khan. He said that based on his information the matter is still under active investigation by the investigators in the police C Division.
Today efforts to contact Roshan Khan via his mobile number were futile. However, a close relative promised that the businessman will make contact. Up to the time of this publication, Khan did not do so.
