A 16-year-old student of the L’Aventure Secondary School, West Bank Demerara (WBD) was on Thursday handed over to the police for bringing a bullet to school.
Reports are that a teacher approached a group of students who were being shown a bullet by the 16-year-old male student.
As such, the ammunition was seized and a photo of it was sent to the headmistress who is a military person, and she confirmed it to be a .32 ammunition.
The District Education Officer was informed and the matter was reported to the police.
The ammunition and the student were then handed over to the police for further investigations.
