[www.inewsguyana.com] – Yvonne Collins known as ‘Steel Donkey’ will now spend eighteen months in jail after she was found guilty on a wounding charge.
Collins of Lot 317 West Ruimveldt, Georgetown was charged with unlawfully and maliciously wounding Crystal Fletchman on July 18 at West Ruimveldt.
She was sentenced by Magistrate Judy Latchman and the matter was prosecuted by Police prosecutor Kerry Bostwick. The court heard that on the day of the incident, the victim was standing in front of Collins’ yard waiting on a taxi, when Collins asked her if she had used her toilet.
Fletchman did not respond to the question which angered Collins, who then broke a bottle and cut Fletchman to the right side of her face.
