A Stanleytown, West Bank Demerara, (WBD) family was, on Monday night, traumatised after gunmen stormed into their home and made off with their valuables.
The daring robbery was carried out at around 20:00hrs while the family of five was at the time relaxing in the bottom flat of their house.
According to reports, the two gunmen gained access to the house by jumping over the fence.
Uma Mangar, one resident of the house explained that she and her family members were relaxing under their house when they saw a man jump over their fence and approached them.
The man reportedly led the family into the house where a second gunman was waiting. They were ordered to hand over their valuables including an undisclosed amount of cash.
The men then made good their escape in a waiting car. Mangar described the two men as being of African descent, adding that both of them were casually dressed.
The matter was reported to the La Grange Police Station.
Investigations are currently on going.
