At a simple ceremony, yesterday, Miss Universe Guyana, Soyini Fraser, was conferred with the title; Special Ambassador for the Guyana Coconut Festival which will be held from 21-23 October at the Arthur Chung Conference Center.
The simple ceremony was held at the Ministry of Public Telecommunications, Colgrain House, Camp Street Georgetown, along with an exhibition of coconut-themed paintings submitted for the coconut festival painting competition. As special ambassador for the Guyana Coconut Festival, Miss Fraser’s duties will include; participation in special promotions for the festival, appearances on radio and television, and speaking engagements at the events of the coconut festival itself.
