Among them will be Guyana’s face of distance running in Cleveland Forde who has won the last eight editions of the event.
While he might have a number of local challengers that have continued to fall to Forde year in year out, Richard Jones of Trinidad landed in Guyana on Friday to be a part of the event.
Meanwhile Trinidad’s Tonya Nero has also arrived in Guyana for the event and will take on Guyana’s American based athlete Euleen Jossiah-Tanner who has been a dominant force on the local scene.
