The body of a Sophia, Greater Georgetown man was discovered late Saturday evening in the area with a stab wound.
The dead man has been identified as 49-year-old Trevor Dublin, a serviceman employed with BK International, of Lot 385 C Field, Sophia. His lifeless body was found around 22:15h on the C Field Access Road by Police ranks on mobile patrol.
According to Police reports, the body “bore a single wound to the left side chest” and is presently at the Lyken Funeral Home.
At the time his body was found, Dublin was clad in a dark-coloured shirt and blue jeans. The 5′ 8″ man was also wearing a pair of black long boots. Investigators also found a knife and a toque in close proximity to his body.
Meanwhile, the Police have arrested an E Field Sophia resident Saturday evening. He is assisting with the investigation.
Police sources told this news outfit that the suspect was taken into custody after he was found in the vicinity of Dublin’s body.
However, while investigators believe that the suspect may have something to do with or know something about Dublin’s murder, the E Field resident has reportedly denied any involvement in the man’s death.
