The Sonia Noel Foundation for Creative Arts (SNFCA) in collaboration with the Guyana Fashion Week (GFW) will hold a fundraiser fashion show ‘Style Mission’ on Sunday at the Guyana Pegasus at 4pm . According to the organisers, the event is being held to raise funds to assist two persons; Ms Corin Gibson and Mr Henry Rodney, seek medical attention.
Among the highlights of the event are; an auction of earrings from Kings Jewellery, a painting from visual artist Devina Deputron, and a signature creation that Sonia Noel worn to the Grammys at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles, California by Donna Hinkson, wife of Ronald Hinkson; a St Lucian musical legend who was a judge at the Grammys earlier this year.
Next month, the SNFCA will be partnering with Help and Shelter to stage another fundraiser at the residence of the US Ambassador to Guyana, in an effort to offer support to the anti domestic violence campaign here in Guyana.
The Sonia Noel Foundation for Creative Arts (SNFCA) was formed in March, 2012 and its vision is to create access for talented individuals, not only in Guyana, its home base, but throughout the wider Caribbean. (Carl Croker)
