Following the receipt of several complaints from parents, whose children did not receive their results, iNews decided to query this with the Ministry.
Our questions revealed that a large number of students across Guyana are still to receive their CSEC results.
The Ministry of Education is withholding the results in exchange for its properties which were loaned to the students during their school life.
These would include text books and other related learning materials.
As it is, the school representatives are required to take a list of their CSEC students to the regional offices, on which they would have indicated who still have items to return and who have not.
The results of those in the clear will be handed over for distribution, while the others will be informed of the need to return the ministry’s properties.
